HOWA is constantly striving to create superior products with the utmost safety, performance, and sustainability in mind.
Highest Levels of Safety
We utilize the latest CAE technology to conduct computer simulations in order to constantly improve safety performance.
Performance: Quietness & Comfort
Developing cutting-edge acoustic materials is in our nature– we’ve been doing it since our founding.
People and the Environment
The identity of HOWA products is rooted in environmental conservation and resource optimization. Using recycled materials is just one of the ways in which HOWA embodies these two principles.
In 1970, HOWA was the first company in Japan to develop headliner roofs. We use our own in-house polyurethane foam. Urethane ceiling reinforced with glass fiber is lightweight and provides superb sound absorbency, heat and moisture resistance, while its high dimensional stability makes it particularly suitable for larger ceilings.
Normally kept above the front windshield, it can be adjusted according to the direction of the sun or flipped up when not in use. As an optional function, it can also be fitted with a pocket for keeping toll road tickets, etc.
Sunroofs with a sunshade trim, equipped with our in-house urethane, block external noise and harsh UV rays from the glass sunroof. When retracted, pleasant sunshine or a cool breeze flows through the car.
Door lining panels are important components for a vehicle's interior space.
Body Side Trim
Each door is fitted on the inside with a trim, which also acts as a damper to reduce external noise and vibration.
Back Door Trim
This internal trim is fitted to the trunk compartment door. It is a damper, sound absorber, and sound insulator that reduces external noise.
Fitted between the rear seat and the rear window is the package tray. As well as reducing noise from the trunk compartment and damping vibrations from the car body, it also functions as the installation site for the car's audio speakers and stop lights.
The general term for a cover over the loading space of a passenger vehicle or truck is a tonneau cover, which is mainly made of cloth, vinyl, leather, or plastic. It is fitted in passenger vehicle models including station wagons, SUVs, and hatchbacks, and can usually be detached or rolled up when not in use.
Deck Side Trim
The deck side trim is the interior trim fitted to the deck side (near the rear quarter pillar). It is a damper that reduces external vibration and noise.
A hood insulator is fitted to the inside of the bonnet. Its function is to reduce the transmission of noise and vibration from the engine compartment. Hood insulators are manufactured from resin felt, which is inexpensive and has excellent sound absorbency.
Of all automotive sound insulation components, these are the most helpful and offer the most effective soundproofing. They are one of the essential sound insulation components for an automobile. Dash silencers are made from a fibrous material such as thermoset resin felt, thermoplastic resin felt, etc.
Interior trim essential for waterproofing and soundproofing the engine compartment. It also contributes to improved aerodynamic performance.
